SMASHBOARD

Your whole pedal chain, one board. Five original stompboxes, not clones of pedals you already own, with Overgrown's fuzz opening the chain and more on the way. Each one wears its own illustrated enclosure. Drag one in, drag it around, and the board rewires itself.

WHAT'S INSIDE

How the board works.

DRAG IT IN. DRAG IT AROUND.

Load and reorder by hand

Every pedal in the lineup sits in a tray at the bottom of the board. Drag one onto an empty slot to load it. Drag a loaded pedal onto another slot to reorder your chain, the board rewires itself and shows you the cable.

EIGHT SLOTS. ZERO REBUILDS.

Swap pedals while the transport's rolling

Swap any pedal into any slot live, mid-playback. As Smash Happy Audio ships more Originals, they just show up in the tray, no new plugin to find, download, or route.

OVERGROWN

Fuzz and distortion, with deep roots

The pedal that opens the chain. Wild tone with a wide usable range, from a bit of hair on a clean part to full collapse. The garden grows between the pedals as you build the board.

DROP MODULE

Always first in the chain

Drop-tune the whole board before anything else touches the signal, so every pedal after it hears the tuning you actually meant. It also hands off cleanly to No Stairway, see below.

THE ORIGINALS

Five real pedals, not five clones.

Overgrown pedal

Overgrown

FUZZ & DISTORTION
  • Harvest, Tone and Sustain across a range that goes from a bit of hair on a clean part to full collapse.
  • Three clipping characters on a toggle: silicon, germanium and LED.
  • Octave up or down, plus a Mid control and a wet/dry Blend so the fuzz can sit under a part instead of swallowing it.
Reactive Mod pedal

Reactive Mod

CHORUS · PHASER · TREMOLO
  • One pedal, three characters, switched rather than stacked.
  • React sets how much your playing dynamics drive the modulation instead of a fixed LFO rate.
  • Rate, Depth and Mix, and it will lock its throb to the session tempo when you want it in time.
Spring Tank pedal

Spring Tank

SPRING REVERB · CAPTURE
  • Size, Tone and Decay over a spring tank model, with Crash for the sound of kicking the box.
  • Flip to Capture mode and it plays a real space you recorded instead of the springs.
  • Wet/dry Mix and output trim, so it works as an insert or a wash.
Chameleon EQ pedal

Chameleon EQ

PITCH-TRACKING EQ
  • Reads the note you are playing and shows it, then moves its own bands to follow.
  • Two tracking bands with independent semitone offsets and gain, so the curve stays musical rather than static.
  • Follow sets how tightly it chases the pitch, from locked on to loosely drifting behind you.
Decay pedal

Decay

TAPE DAMAGE
  • Wobble, Dropout and Sag for the three ways tape actually fails.
  • Breakup and Hum add the noise floor and saturation that come with worn machines.
  • All of it dialled on purpose, so degradation is an instrument rather than an accident.
TWO PLUGINS, ONE SIGNAL PATH

The two plugins negotiate the drop-tune.

Put SmashBoard's DROP module ahead of No Stairway on the same track and the console notices. It greys out its own DROP and passes the already-shifted signal straight through, so nothing gets pitch-shifted twice and there is no argument about which plugin owns the tuning. Turn the board's DROP off and No Stairway takes it back on its own.

IN DEVELOPMENT

SmashBoard is in development. Five Originals, drag-and-drop reordering, the DROP module, the tuner and live cable visuals are built. Pricing and a release window aren't set yet. It pairs directly with No Stairway: the pedals feed the amp, and the two negotiate the drop-tune between them. Get on the list and we'll email you when there's more to see.
