Camouflaged in your mix. It stalks the notes and pounces on their harmonics.
Tracking a G1 at 49 Hz, bands riding the root and the octave.
Plenty of EQs know what key you are in. Chameleon Panther tracks the note itself, and puts its bands on that note's harmonics as it moves.
Four bands sit on chosen partials of the detected fundamental. The bass moves from G to C, the bands move with it.
A sweeping band is a sweeping phase response, so no band sits in the signal path. Boost only, tapped off the dry and summed back in.
Wet added equally to both channels is identical to adding it to Mid alone. The sides come back bit-exact.
Chroma analysis finds the key across the full band; a separate tracker on the mono sum places the bands.
Detection confidence fades bands, tilt and match toward transparent on unpitched material. It never holds a wrong note across a master.
Measures real dry and wet levels instead of estimating from the knobs, so the A/B is honest. On by default.
Chameleon Panther started life as a guitar pedal. We built a keytracked EQ for guitar pedals, watched it chase the bass around, and thought: what would that do across a whole master? Enough that it needed different maths — the pedal shared one Q across every band, which stops being right once the bands are octaves apart. A happy accident that joined the family late and earned its place. It is built, universal, and passing final in-DAW checks. $49 USD individually, or $199 USD as part of the Elemental Mastering Suite. The store opens shortly; join the list and we'll email you the day it does. $5 from every purchase goes to BC Children's Hospital Foundation.
